Quite the busy Beever

You may have seen the incredible chalk drawings that Julian Beever does. If you haven't, you are in for a treat. Julian Beever is an English artist who is famous for his chalk art drawn on the pavements of Europe, USA, and Australia. What makes him so unique is that he gives his drawings an anamorphosis view. What that means is that his images are drawn in such a way that it gives them a three dimensional look when viewing from the correct angle. It's amazing !!! There are web sites out there with more photos of his work.

Here is a great classic image with three dimensional depth...

This is one of my favorite drawings of his. Though he is really only perched on a piece of wood on the sidewalk, it really appears he has the depth and is perched on a ledge.

Another good drawing with depth while he poses for the visual image...

To better explain how he achieves this effect, here is a drawing looking from the right perspective.

And here's the same drawing from another perspective. That's how you get that dimensional effect! Still, you have to be talented enough to draw them!
