Paparazzi in the wild

Hey, what's going on here in the Serenghetti? Is that Paris I see over in the grass? Tomkat under the tree? Lindsey having a drunken binge down in that ditch?
No, this is what it is like when word gets out that one of the big cats have been spotted. You can get this type of crowd for lions, cheetahs, or leopards. The crowd is the largest for a leopard though because they are much harder to see.

I was fortunate though, having had many leopard sightings during my safaris.
It's funny...the cats couldn't care less about all the people. They don't come up and take your camera or punch you like certain celebrities have been known to do. In fact, I think all celebrities should come on down to the Serengetti for paparazzi training. Those that don't pass...well, they'd make a lovely meal for some big cat.

It's amazing that you never know where you'll find these leopards. Some safari trips don't even see one. I got lucky and on the drive to the Ngorongoro crater resort on the rim, there was a leopard walking right down the road at us. That part of the crater is very jungle like and so if that leopard weren't right on the road, I'd have never seen it. It didn't stay long enough for me to get my camera out and get a shot though. This particlar guy I couldn't get a good shot of because I faced the sun and there were about 20 vehicles at all angles surrounding this tree. He had his kill up in the tree too. Some lovely Gazelle legs for munching on in the middle of the night.

Next up...the lions have a barbeque.

Just scrolling through the latest posts make me mouth water for some barbequed gazelle. Sorry to hear that yer flight back was about as much fun as gettin slapped with a typhoon and an earthquake, but me be certain you'll remember the amazing things you've seen and chalk up the craziness to the dues you pay for adventure.

leopards, man. that's soooo damn cool. The best me has done is a pink panther while getting looped on everclear.

STOMP.

So far so good, but you'll have to do better to justify that trip home.

Georgeous Cat.

Plus how much would the whole world love to drop off those spoiled celebutards in the middle of the desert to be a dessert for some wild animal. *Fist punching into air*

SM - I've seen that pink panther before too!

Camille - Yep, it's wild!

Kurt - I tried to get somebody to take a pic of me taking pics of people taking pics, but it got to complex...

iamnot - I'm working on it

adw - Ooh. Good call. It could be like a new version of survivor. Dumb celebrities dumped into the middle of the Serengeti. I like it.

sj - Yes, leopards are cool.

diesel - Yes, the world is just their all inclusive buffet.
