Ok, before we resume your regularly scheduled nonsense and before I give you the VE version of my trip, I'll post a few photos I snapped on my vacation...enjoy
Joshua trees respect their own personal space. Ok, maybe lack of water might have something to do with that too. Here's your Valentines Day card...
The quintessential Joshua Tree shot...
Two for the price of one...
I guess coming from Oregon and not seeing a lot of Cacti I like to photograph them
These pokey bushes create an interesting starburst effect.

Nice pics!
Is that you in that rock chair? I don't think I've seen a picture of you yet so I wouldn't know.
So let me get this straight. A Joshua Tree is a real, like, TREE. Hmmmm, now I was thinking it was something to do with Bono.
And thanks for the Valentine. Makes my heart all a flutter and my hands all a bloody.
That was quite a prickly spot you were in. Great Pics, and Cheers!!
Gorgeous photos! I'm particularly taken with the prickly Valentine -- not exactly something you'd expect to find in nature.
jeff - Yes, but don't tell anyone. I avoid posting pics of myself for purposes of anonymity.
kelley - Yeah, I thought Bono said "let there be Joshuas...and there was...and it was good..." PS - I'll send some bandages for those hands...sorry.
matt-man - Yeah, there is practically nothing there you want to accidentally touch...
sj - I thought that too; which is why I was happy the photo turned out well
Man, you were stuck between a rock and a sharp place! Enjoyed the photo essay!
I could use some of those Joshua trees in the yard! Looks like there would be much leaf raking in the winter?
"wouldn't be much leaf raking!"
