Trivial Pursuit Cards VE Would Add to the Deck

First of all, let’s thank our round 5 contestants for their ridiculous scenarios last Friday. They were:

A. Alex L (Constructorb one )
B. Chris Eldin (Diet Coke one)
C. Jeff (lotto one)
D. Dale (Compliment one)
E. Mike (gay one)
F. Reforminggeek (Taco one)

Great job you guys! And thanks for everyone in participating through the entire series.

Now…on to some humor…

TRIVIAL PURSUIT CARDS VE WOULD ADD:

(yeah…you’ll probably have to click on them to actually read them…)

Bonus question: True or False - VE always proof reads his posts. (yeah, don't even go there...)

I like it VE. A TRULY trival Trival Pursuit game is in the making. It is so sad about the Land Masses. They used to be so happy together:(

Bonus ?: Survey sez...NO

Mrsupole said...

Dang it VE, you truly mean I cannot go to where you did not proof read your post. Heck if I do not proof read my comments, you know what happens. ssowhocanreadwhat I wrote either. And then Ronda finds a bonus game in there somewhere. I alwatyss msiss the frrrumn things.

Alright it just makes you human like us.

I was worried there for a moment, I thought you were obsessed with Zebra's. Yes, these are funny and you might have a "go" with this group. And do you think the land masses will ever make up?

God bless.

These are great, VE! This would be fun to play, although some answers would be subjective, based on people's preferences or pet peeves.

Oh, and I'd have to go with FALSE for the last question.

subtorp77 said...

Oh yes, these would work. And I say yes to claiming your clone as a dependant!

VE said...

ronda - That's what happens when I create these things at odd hours; typos! On even hours...I'm pretty consistent.

mrsupoles - Well I am obsessed with zebras though...

jacki - Well the subjective parts are where the face slapping comes into play! FUN!!! And the answer to the last question is, of course, not black and white. Yes, I do proof read them but not all the time and sometimes not very well.

subtorp77 - That's good to know about the clone dependents because you can never have enough dependents to claim on taxes. That's how the Mormons are taking over the world you know...

Maureen said...

I would guess False for the last question too.

I would guess False for the last question too.

;) But then again, this pot shouldn't be calling the kettle black.

VE said...

maureen - You should have guessed c. You should have guessed c...

Anne said...

hey! I can't turn these over to check my answers!

I thought for sure the third card was going to have a question about zebras.

Quirkyloon said...

Ah, I love the clone question! And I thought the zebra question was intentionally repeated until I did not see it on the last card.

But I'm glad you didn't repeat it cuz it would've been in lieu of the clone question.

And I adore that question! Ha!

gab said...

oh oh oh I know the answer to the bonus question. False. Why do I know that answer to be true? because he repeated the zebra question on two cards. Either that or you really like that question.

moooooog35 said...

This board game would be a great addition to my 'Naked Operation'...except, you know, legal in most states.

freetheunicorns said...

I think you missed your calling. The good news is you have something to fall back if you ever give up blogging.

I think the bonus question was a trick question.

VE said...

anne - You just need to look behind your monitor when displaying them...

quirky - I should have repeated the clone question instead. THAT would have been more applicable...

gab - Well if you're gonna have one zebra, you might as well have two!

moooooog35 - Why does it not surprise me that YOU would come up with Naked Operation...but come to think about it...when are operations NOT naked?

freetheunicorns - If I fall back...I'll probably just hit my head. That might be a good thing...

Perpetual Chocoholic said...

Card A: F; Tom Cruise; Too many; Definately C; Yes; None of the above.

Perpetual Chocoholic said...

Bonus question: Either true or you just really love/hate zebras.

VE said...

perpetual chocoholic - Hey...you've played this game before! Well I do have a certain fondness for zebras. How can you not, they're striped! How cool is that?

Jeff said...

2009... the answer to: "What was the last year a music CD had more than one song on it that was any good?"

The band: The Receders

duh

Kurt said...

Good Lord that represents a lot of company time.

Nessa said...

Proof reading is for weenies.

Brian Miller said...

ha-larious! the one about the lakes is a trick questions, where is the none of the above?

think they are still trying to fix that constipation, err..i mean Constitution thing.

VE said...

jeff - Well I can't deny that, can I?

kurt - No...just my time. I have no company. Yet.

nessa - Here, here!

brian - It would probably seem so but the one in antarctica is always frozen solid so you can't actually pee in it...

Ronda Laveen said...

Typos are so hard to catch at times. It is easy to go "word blind." Seems like I can read a piece 20 times, post it, and still find errors.

Elizabeth said...

I love the questions. The liberal arts majors made me laugh out loud. You seem to post about games often. Do you like making new ones or just playing them a lot?

VE said...

ronda - I actually saw them as I posted but seeing that the cards were already in jpg format and I'd have to recreate them from scratch...nah!

Megan said...

According to Carlin, none of those things are sports.

Chris Wood said...

I like that idea about the novel that deals with all the characters in chapter 1. Thus leaving the other chapters wide open for ... um ...

VE said...

megan - According to VE, Carlin died...new rules! (and no disprespect to George...he was THE man)

chris - Would make a great TV show. Kill off the featured character in every episode...

VE said...

to all - The funniest typo that NOBODY caught is that I had six contrubutors I thanked, not five as I mentioned...

YOU ALL LOSE YOUR EDITOR JOBS!!!!

hahahaha

ReformingGeek said...

So you assume I'm actually reading instead of scanning? OK. You caught me.

Those are great cards and of course your proofread but that doesn't mean you see the typos.

VE said...

reforminggeek - What? You're not memorizing every single word of my posts? You're not singing and rehearsing them as though they were scripture? I'm aghast!!!! ;)

Ronda Laveen said...

RE: "funniest typo" comment by VE. There is a typo...contrubutors is and incorrect spelling. Do I get bonus points?

nursemyra said...

striped bandicoots are sexier than zebras

Chris Eldin said...

Hi Ve,

At the risk of losing my coveted place as a colored link in one of your posts, I have no memory answering that question. I remember reading it and thinking it was very funny, but was the diet coke thing really me?
I just don't want to take someone else's credit.

LOL at your Whole Foods post!! Your posts crack me up!!
:-)

Serena said...

I'd have a ball playing that version. I know I'd win because, hell, there are no right or wrong answers. With a setup like that, who needs proofreading?

VE said...

ronda - I'm make up some award and you can have that! Of course, my award will probably be misspelled...

chris - I'm pretty sure it was you...but I'll double check.

serena - Plus...I give you so many new words for your "words gone wild" list!

colbymarshall said...

haha...you said "penal colony"...giggle

Janna said...

And all this time I thought "The Scream" was originally titled "Arrival Of The Kidney Stone".

Or maybe that's the name of the next Indiana Jones movie.

Megan said...

I came back to read your reply, but then Chris' comment about not remembering totally derailed me. That is so classic if true!

I am Arizona; a person, not a place. said...

Ha! I totally believe that there's a globe-makers association that is behind all the border changes!! lol! Those geography/cartography majors need jobs, too, y'know!

Bunk Strutts said...

Trivial Pursuit! I'd forgotten about that game, but I can tell you that, in any category, "Mickey Dolenz" is the correct answer 27.4% of the time. Makes guessing easier.

Alex L said...

Proof reading is for losers, if you believe it enough then its not a mistake. now that should be in the constipation!

Carla said...

You forgot to mention the zebras on your third card. I'm sure it's just your way of checking if we're paying attention.

Beth said...

Di I have your permission to copy and add these cards to our Trivial Pursuit game? The current game is getting pretty stale - needs some VE humour to liven it up!

VE said...

nursemyra - Sorry...skipped you somehow. Bandicoots? The only thing I know about them is that they are on my sons playstation game: Crash Bandicoot. But don't forget, zebras are hung like a horse too! ;)

colby - Don't be afraid to use the word!

janna - Ha! Good one. Sometime back I did a post about subsequent Indiana Jones sequels (and prequels). Now if I just had tags to find it...

megan - See what Diet sodas will do to a person?

arizona - It's like "the Dude" from Big Lewboski says...look to the ones that will benefit the most!

bunk - That's a good tip to have. Combine that with "C" being the right multiple choice answer 40% of the time and I'm up to 67.4% advantage.

alex - I like that philosophy! Leave it to you to come up with that. I'm going to adobt that belief...

carla - I should have put it on all three. Well, I should have put the clone one on all three; that would have been the fitting one.

beth - Absolutely. Copy away! Those should leave people scratching their heads.

Gladys said...

I've never been very good at Trivial Pursuit, it just is too trivial.

Sarah said...

My in-laws LOVE trivial pursuit! I liked the last card the best I think. Do I have your permission to print these out and sneak them into the game the next time I play with the family?

VE said...

gladys - I'll have to develop "Millionaire Pursuit"...would that work for ya?

sarah - Go for it! I might do some more in the future. I have so many concepts that I could really expand upon but never seem to. All depends on my mood and interest at the time...

Jaime said...

too funny - especially the knock on rhythmic gymnastics

Dalton J. Fox said...

What's this "proof reading" you speak of?

And haven't all B-rate (and lower) actors appeared on some sort of reality show by now?

VE said...

jaime - How can you not knock it?

dalton - One would think. What happens when they run out?

Dalton J. Fox said...

Reality TV would die. Man, I hope they run out soon!

By the way, sorry I'm going back and replying to all these posts from a week or two ago. Just never had time to put my two cents in before.

Jaime said...

i dunno - the streamers are kinda cool?

VE said...

dalton - No problem, if you take the time to comment, I'll take the time to reply!

jaime - Yeah...but they play with their balls...to an audience no less!
