Our story begins with the rebuilding of Middle Earth after the carnage.

Word quickly spreads to Gandalf and the gang. They never really made it to the Grey Havens; deciding to stay in tropical paradise after some raucous nights among the

Well Gandalf did ask around…

But persistence paid off and a new fellowship was born.

Forgot the rings. Binder clips are the bomb. They rule my world.
We were lacking on the sci fi movies this summer. Maybe, next summer will have more over the top movies for us.
When you turn your discerning eye (and talent) on Lord of the Rings, that is a sacrilege. Still funny, but nevertheless, a sacrilege... ;)
Can't...stop....laughing...!
You're probably onto something here, VE. Hollywood ran out of fresh ideas in the 70's and is running out of remake ideas now. The next logical step is to rehash movies with borrowed characters - brilliant! I can't wait for "The Man Who Would be Lion King."
delorean!
@ Roy Scribner, sorry old bean but Hollywood never had a "fresh" idea they didn't take from the stage, first...
See? You can always count on Star Wars....
... to return somehow.
Remember before you got famous when you used to read my blog?
hit40 - Back in Wizard school Sauron had an unfortunate accident with a binder clip (we won't go into details) and now he's only into rings...
beth - Ha! Yes, but just wait until tomorrow's theme Thursday. You want sacrilege? I've got it. You never know where my discerning eye will be looking. ps - You should close those blinds... ;)
subtorp77 - That might ultimately be a problem. Don't get a speeding ticket before you stop...
Roy - Ha! Good one. How about The Godfather of the Bride...
anne - Come on, you know you want to drive it too!
subtorp77 - You mean they did 2001 A Space Odyssy on stage first?
maureen - It's like the Energizer Bunny...it keeps going and going and going.
Harrison Ford used to be so cute!
kurt - Was it a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away?
I know, I know....I've been guilty of very infrequent visits. I'll make it up very soon. School starts and I can pawn off the kids to a host of teachers than can babysit them errr... I mean educate them during the day.
elizabeth - He stayed young looking up until a few years ago and then bam...old! Sort of like Robert Redford did...his face aged about a hundred years in a week...
I was worried that you were trespassing on sacred ground. There are some things that should not be mocked and LOTR is one of them.
However with that said.
LMBO! hee hee
You're dating yourself with mention of the delorean time machine. That's so yesterday's mode of time travel;-)
quirkyloon - Come on over to sacred ground. Have some fun with the gnomes! Just run when you see the torches...
perpetual chocoholic - I beg to differ. I never date myself...it gets too expensive and the conversation is predictible.
when i was in college, someone in a neighborhood near campus had a delorean and this was before the movie. so, yes, i want to drive it, too.
...still...laughing...s-s-sorry...o-of-officer...DeLorean...bwahahahahaha!
VE, barring those "based on a true story" movie, I'm sure even that one can be traced back to something...
I love it! I'm so glad we can count on the Star Wars Trio to save the day, even if the Princess makes me hungry for cinnamon rolls!
I've got R2D2 over at my blog today.
LOTR was made for the ROFL IMHO
anne - Funny...I just saw one on the freeway today while coming back from a mountain bike ride...
subtorp77 - Seems like everything can be traced back to something else; agree...
reforminggeek - R2D2? I'll have to check it out. When I recoop from my strenuous mountain bike ride that is. Ugggh...
baino - COOL...sorry...you used up all the good acronyms...
aww... i think a harry potter should hook up with the lord of the rings!
I stopped dead in my tracks at the Star Trek photo. Best. One. Ever.
ALmost made me a bigger Star Trek fan than Star Wars. Almost.
There are probably a lot of unemployed Dungeons & Dragons fans living in their parents' basement who would LOVE to help.
And don't forget all the zombie-like mobs who are hooked on World of Warcraft.
You could have an army almost as big as the one in the movie.
so in this sequel do the rings get thrown into the recycle bin at staples?
so in this sequel do the rings get thrown into the recycle bin at staples?
ha. that was awesome. anxiously awaiting the sequel...
Good one!!! Know I can always count on you for a good laugh.
And then Spider-Mickey swooped in to save the day...
@Megan-LOL! Or how about the X-Mice? Iron Mouse? I could go on here...
jaime - Another story...another time.
arizona - I must say, the new Star Trek movie this summer was definitely the highlight of the movies for me. Harry Potter was second.
janna - Sounds like we'll have to pull all life forms to fight this good/evil battle...even those you mention!
lime - That's an excellent idea. Nothing escapes there!
brian - It's coming. Theme Thursday interupted it for a moment...
carla - I'm there for ya! You should close those curtains though... ;)
megan - Good one. They need a franchise mix up with that series.
subtorp77 - Iron Mouse. Awesome. Something is awry at Disney....
VE, you didn't know? Disney is aquiring Marvel comics!! Of course, you did know this. You're just havin' me on...
subtorp77 - I did know that. I'm so prankish...
By-the-way, I'm NOT happy about that merger. Disney will ruin it all...mark my words.
What about Star Gate Atlantis and 2001? What about The Neverending Story...oh wait that's my blog. ;)
gladys - You mean to say you "yell at all" and it's the never ending story? Yikes... ;)
I am glad to see that this fellowship will not be a boys club.
VE, ha! I can just see it now: "Darkwing Avengers","Captain Hewey"( along with "Sgt. Pluto and his Canine Commandoes" )...GAAAH!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!
ronda - Nope, not this time!
subtorp77 - I'm shaking my head at the thought...
I'm a huge LOTR fan, and that's pretty damn funny! Good work!
Now why didn't Lucas make THIS movie?
mikeWJ - Me too...
starrlight - He doesn't care...he'll still make a fortune.
Now that you have dated yourself, you truly should have hooked yourself up with the Professor's time machine. And since I still have no idea what it is due to this writing block, uh I mean this break I am taking, you could have just drove with it, I mean ran with it.
Okay, one more to move me up.
God bless.
mrsupole - I never dated myself...I wouldn't go out with me!!!!
