One way or another
Two Steps forward, one step back
Three strikes and you’re out
Four corners of the Earth
Five good reasons
Six to one, half a dozen to the other
Seven year itch
Eight days a week
With so much confusion in our numbers, no wonder kids don’t want to learn to count

Maybe?
Yep. I will now proceed to read the post. I can't believe I just did that...
wonderful 55. love its wit.
http://jingleyanqiu.wordpress.com/2010/04/15/waiting-for-the-splash-theme-thursday/
my Theme Thursday post!
55 is also up!
Thank you for the attention!
@Megan
See it is fun to be first! LOL
@VE
And the most confusing number is The Baker's Dozen. When I go buy donuts at the donut shop, I ask for a dozen and I get 13. I guess we should all be thankful that most Baker's never did good in Math Classes. Although my hips are not too happy.
God bless.
Whoops, my comment posted twice, so I deleted one so as to spare double reading by everyone.

"One way or another" oh great...now I've got a Blondie earworm...!
And remember...with six you get eggroll but they're always cheaper by the dozen. And nine times outta ten...nevermind...
Been to Four Corners...huzzah.
@ Megan; congrats ;)
99 bottles of beer on the wall... one of the best ways to learn numbers...
Now I have a One Way Or Another by Blondie ear worm.
Love it!
One of the best 55s I've ever seen! You really dressed it to the nines. Ten-Q! (you're welcome)
Earworm, schmearworm! I can listen to Blondie all day! And as far as that song goes, yeah, baby, she can get me any day she wants!
Nine Inch Nails.
i'll give you ten to one this is a clever 55.
Yep, you can count on that :-)
Very clever, VE. I like it!
One toke over the line with Love Potion #9.
A great play on numbers! If we had eight days in a week maybe there would be one for rest.
Enjoy the weekend, what there is of it!
I used to say "Same thing, it's half of one, six dozen of another" until someone pointed out that it's not the same thing actually.
Great 55. I love numbers so this one gets me. My 55 iss HERE but has nothing to do with numbers.
Megan – What? Megan first? Guess you got off your porch just in time!
Ji – Thanks
Mrsupole – They never seem to do that at the bank…
Subby – Guess what I’m enjoying right now? Thanks a heap for the Pop Tarts! Takes me back to my childhood…
Catladylarew – It also teaches about supply and demand…
Incredible woody – That’s not a bad song to have playing though…
Perpetual chocoholic – Another of my “what should I write” improve posts that took about 5 minutes…
Sharonheg – Ha! Thanks…
Roy – I agree…that’s not a bad earworm to have…
Roy – Ha! Good one. Somebody has to count that one for us though if we’re the one in the coffin…
Lime – I’ll take those odds…
Anthonynorth – count me in then…
Reforminggeek – Good ones…totally forgot about the one toke bit…
Yvonne – If we had eight days in the week, they’d just extend the work week…sad, but true…
Elizabeth – Ha! Sort of like when you mess up lyrics for your entire life until one day you see them printed somewhere and go, “That’s wrong!”
Monkey man – I shall check it out…
Eight days in a week? Really?
Wonderful 55!
Mine is here
Have you a great weekend!
hugs
shakira

Have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
Excellent 55.
Eight Days A Week!
Now I'm going to have Beatles music in my head all evening.
Which is not a bad thing at all. :)
Oooh, look; is that a yellow submarine?
VE, hey! They got there quicker than I was told they would! ( grabbing difibralator...CLEAR! )
Anytime ya need a "fix", heh, heh...
one two three what are we fighting for...don't ask me I don't give a damn...next stop is Vietnam....
Sorry I was having a Country Joe flashback.
Thank you Gladys for that earworm..."and it's five, six, seven open up them pearly gates"...!
my son's not counting past four... the other numbers don't really exist.
very clever! love it!
Shakira ck – Aack, I’m behind on visiting…as usual. Thanks
Brian – I couldn’t…I only had 55 words to work with…
Dulce – Why thank you…
g-man – You have a busy schedule on Fridays! Hope you did have a kick-ass weekend too…
pattiken – Gracias…
janna – I have yellow submarines parked all over the neighborhood too…yes, Portland is THAT wet…
subby – Thanks again, I owe you now!
Gladys – That was definitely his 15 minutes of fame!
Subby – That should drive some of the other earworms out…for awhile…
Jaime – I agree…all the other numbers are just redundant…only 1 is valid…
Aladdinsane12 - Thanks
Fabulous! Now backwards from 100
carla - I don't have enough fingers and toes...
Nine ladies dancing, ten lords a-leaping, eleven... Sorry.
