Deeper into the hole we go - A Friday Flash 55

Thirteen trillion, twenty four billion, six hundred and fifty three million, five hundred and ninety seven thousand, four hundred and thirty four dollars and twenty eight cents.

That was the national debt at the second I looked at it. Now…if I had that percentage of debt, do you think anyone would loan me more money?

And the hole is going to get deeper and deeper in the next two years, I think it will triple in size. Nope I doubt you would get a loan, well unless you talk to the Japanese, who just bought most of our debt from China.

Did you see the pic of the sinkhole in Guatamala?

Our hole will make that hole look like a small speck of dust.

God bless.

At least our inflation isn't in "hyper" mode...like in Zimbabwe!

Would you accept a turkey leg, in lieu of cash?

Yeah, the same way incompetent people keep their positions while talented folks are let go.

And yet I'd still be willing to buy bonds. Crazy, I know.

Mine is here.

Nice observation. But don't look at me. I'm broke. ;o)

Can I borrow a dollar?

this has nothing to do with your post... but what the heck is shoe goo?

that's the stuff we used to get on the bottom of our vous shoes when we went to the bar in college... it certainly wasn't fixing anything - more like ruining the ugliest, cheapest pair of shoes we owned.

Janna said...

Yup... the world is fading away into the deep dark abyss.

Before you go, can I have twenty bucks?

Thanks as always for yet another Friday 55.
Mine's posted right HERE.

Happy Belated Father's Day to Dads in your life...

i've often said they should turn the government and treasury and the middle east mess over to a bunch of single moms who have successfully raised decent kids alone on working class wages and who didn't live in tons of debt. they'd be the only ones responsible and they'd know where to make the right cuts and get the job done right and mediate peace.

off topic...i need you to come make your guesses on my tuesday post for this week. please please, pretty please...

Mrsupole – I saw that sinkhole. I’ve been there. Well, not to the sinkhole, that is…

Subby – Wow, that’s really crazy. I like to carry around gold bars for currency…

Catladylarew – Sure…but what would it buy these days?

g-man – Looks like I’ll be able to get a loan from you, Mr. Always Looking at the Bright Side…

jinksy – Just think big and add seven zeros to the end of it…

nessa – Because big turds are way more likely to turn into gold than small turds!

Incredible woody – I’ll bet you it isn’t less!

Roy – Absolutely! I’d even go for getting paid in gum…

Monkey man – They’re still paying me unemployment after a full year…I guess so! I have no idea where that money is coming from (ok…taxpayers…)

Showme – Damn…I should become a government…

Reforminggeek – That’s because they are a threat to the other incompetent managers…

Alice – James Bond…I’ll wager…

Angelmay – The good thing about being broke is that there is no place but up from there. The bad news is there is nothing that guarantees you’ll ever leave…

Sharonheg – Ask the Chinese…

Elizabeth – rounding is so much less effort…I try and round to the nearest trillionth which means I have nothing!

Baino – Damn…I’d be pissed…I get my airline miles that way…

Subby – I saw those…crazy!

Perpetual chocoholic – You worked at a bank before, didn’t you?

Jaime – Shoe goo was a product in a tube like toothpaste but it was essentially a filler and glue all at the same time that you could use to repair worn spots on your running shoes…

Janna – I see you’re an opportunist!

Jingle – Thank you!

Lime – What about single Dads? I was one of those for awhile…

Lime – Oh…that was a fun one…thanks for begging me to participate…

well I have percentage of that debt but no one loaning me money. I just learned our insurance who paid all most all of my doctor bills from my car accident in 08 is now taking it all back and sending me all bills in full. Ive added up some of them already and Im at about 49,000 plus. Oh and why did they take their part of the insurance payments back? Because I had a pre back injury before the car accident and they wont pay for pre injurys. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS WORLD COMING TO? Before car accident I had no problems walking I had some problems standing and such but after car accident....I barely walk!

gab - As the Dude would say..."That's a bummer, man" Sorry to hear about that...I just hate insurance companies...
